Utthita Trikonasana is especially recommended for the benefits it brings the body and the nervous system. The leg muscles are stretched and toned, the knees and ankles are strengthened and the contraction of the abdominal muscles in this pose helps improve digestion. Practiced regularly, this pose may also help decrease anxiety.  Please note that this exercise is not recommended for beginners and those with fragile necks or lower backs.
