Lu Tiansen is 13 years old and lives with his family on the island of Chang Yao in China. Every Monday, Tiansen and his friends make the two-hour journey to their school, located on the mainland opposite the island. To get there on time, after their boat crossing, they take shortcuts through the rice fields to a dark tunnel. But thanks to their good humor, they always overcome their obstacles.
