Ten potters compete in Stoke-on-Trent to become the new champion of British pottery. The judges, master potter Keith Brymer Jones and ceramic artist Kate Malone, scrutinize their work in three grueling tests. In particular, the potters must create and decorate an identical sixteen-piece dinner service.
