Obdulia González Fierro is 9 years old, she lives with her parents and brothers in the imposing and desolate Sierra Tarahumara. To get to the religious boarding school in which she receives a formal education, Obdulia and her friend Irma have to travel 6 hours. They walk for 3 hours and spend 3 more on a truck. Along the way they encounter dangers like poisonous snakes and unstable trails in mountains that are over 2,000 meters high.
