A few years ago, Laura Botella chose to let go of her life in Spain — a thriving career, a partner, and the convenience of living in a big city — for the island life in El Nido, Philippines.
She considers it the best decision of her life as she is able to create her own path and break free from the societal expectations and standards of how a woman should live her life.
