On her way home from work Shirley Quinn took pity on a stray white cat living under an abandoned car. After months of feeding the cat she named Apple, Shirley became concerned about her health and brought her to Clare.  Apple thrived under human care. It was clear that she needed a real home. A blood test revealed that Apple tested positive for feline AIDS. While this condition isn’t fatal and doesn’t affect humans, it is transmissible to other cats, making the task of having Apple adopted much more difficult.  The team at the Cat Hospital swung into action and conducted a massive social media campaign to find Apple the right home. 

Binky’s owner Jacinta was away on holidays when her son Cian noticed Binky had stopped eating.  Upon examination, Clare discovered that Binky was extremely unwell. Jacinta returned from holidays to this distressing news. Clare performed a tricky emergency operation to insert a feeding tube directly into the cat’s digestive system. After a few days, Binky began to recover much to Jacinta and Cian’s relief. Clare later revealed that the Cat Hospital rarely sees cats as ill as Binky had been.

When ten-year-old Sparky was diagnosed with terminal cancer, his owner Maria called in Tom Farrington, a veterinary homeopath. Tom, a close colleague of Clare has a practice in scenic West Cork. He’s a trained veterinary surgeon and a homeopath. With Sparky’s fate hanging in the balance we see will Tom’s specially mixed potion help save his life?
