Like Gebregziabher Gebremariam, one of Africa\'s great marathon runners, who jogs 27 kilometres every morning. For others, endurance is a necessity, like for these women who carry up to 40 kilos of wood over tens of kilometres to sell to a population that only cooks with coal.
