Staffordshire Bull Terrier Diesel works for the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Carnivore Conservation Program in South Africa. His tracking abilities are being used to locate cheetah faecal droppings known as scat. By analyzing scat samples, researchers are able to determine species, sex, and even the cheetahs’ individual identities. With this information researchers can estimate population size and distribution – crucial information necessary to try and save this endangered species.

Tommy provides Blessing with the independence he requires to succeed, allowing him to walk independently of someone’s arm or shoulder.
Ozzie is one of only three dogs in the world, trained to detect poisonous Cane Toads. He is based on Groote Eylandt, off the coast of Northern Australia, which has a large aboriginal population and a unique ecosystem. He is working on the port to stop the Cane Toads that are already in abundance on the main land from reaching the island. We meet Ozzie and handler Kristyne as they work to keep Groote Eylandt cane toad free and find out how Ozzie’s natural abilities are perfect for the task at hand.
