E01 | Kirstie's Fill your house for Free | Hannah - Andy Walker & Arfa - Salim

This program is not currently available

Kirstie Allsopp is back with her audacious experiment to fill two homes each week with furniture sourced for free. She’s reopened her free shop in Glasgow and found the nation’s best cast-offs to redesign homes at a fraction of high street costs. Aided by salvage expert Charis Williams, inventor and furniture hacker Max McMurdo, and artist and upcycler Lee Baker, Allsopp helps Bedfordshire’s Hannah & Andy Walker to refurb their new family home once they’ve maxed out on the mortgage. They want a family room, sewing room and man cave. It might all be free but it’s not going to be easy. Self-confessed control freak Hannah rejects the table Max makes from an aeroplane wing, and tells Lee his designer cupboard is fit for a skip! Will they win her over? Also visiting the free shop are married first time buyers and recent migrants from India, Arfa Khot and Salim Isaf from Wembley. They have a sitting room with just a rug and four cushions on the floor - but Arfa is dead set against second hand. Arfa wants everything in her home to be new and bling – as Charis says “We might have issues”.
