The Puppies are back with extraordinary, moving and funny stories from the formative months of their lives. This week, they’re learning to make friends, with other dogs and humans, alike. Three-week-old Spinone pups, Luigi, and his siblings… are getting to the stage where they can be a bit of a handful. Luckily, their special pal, Dachshund Angus, is on hand. He’s helping with all the pups’ needs, such as encouraging outdoor pursuits and even keeping them presentable by licking their food-coated whiskers squeaky clean! Siberian Husky puppy pals, Rocco and River have been in training for the new sport of dryland dog sledding (which uses a ‘sled’ with wheels). Today is a big day: for the first time, they are hooked to a full team of Huskies, to pull their human round the Gloucester countryside. Deaf Dalmation pup, Sage moves to his new home where he makes friends with a new family – which includes two dogs. He learns to compensate for his lack of hearing by following his doggy friends around and learns sign language to help understand his human friends. When it comes to bonding between friends, it’s hard to beat dancing! So we hit the dancefloor with teen pups, Ruckie, Drew & Finn, and their humans, of course. We meet delightful three-and-a-half week old Buster and his siblings. They are Bearded Collies who are learning to make friends with their humans, by being stroked and tickled. The experience is not just enjoyable, it should mean they associate humans with a positive experience. We also catch up with Wheaten Terrier Marshall, as his new human friends take him for a treat at an enchanted tea house and with Newfoundland pup Barley, as she demonstrates the power of puppy-human teamwork and passes his test to be a water rescue dog.
