Big Cats About the House

Giles Clark takes on his biggest challenge yet: transforming the Big Cat Sanctuary into a world-class centre for big cat conservation. He rescues Maya, a five-day-old black jaguar cub rejected by her mother, and raises her at home with the help of his family. We follow Maya’s fragile beginnings, health struggles, and playful growth, as she becomes an ambassador for her wild cousins. Giles juggles her care with major conservation work—from Cambodia to Costa Rica and Kenya—fighting to protect big cats in the wild. Along the way, he also takes in Willow, a young injured cheetah in need of care. This heartwarming and inspiring three-part series showcases the incredible bond between humans and animals and shines a light on the urgent need to save our planet’s most iconic predators.
