Salvador has the reputation of being a dangerous country, and for good reason: after a 12-year long civil war the country now has to deal with the gangs that bedevil the capital. But for a surfer, Salvador is a tiny paradise with a bounty of beautiful waves. Ugo joins Jimmy, one of Latin America’s finest surfers. Between two sessions Jimmy introduces him to his family and friends. They tell him about their country, during, and after the war.
