The second film picks up when the dogs are around 5 months old and entering ‘adolescence’ – with the early bonding achieved and the novelty wearing off it’s time to start some more advanced training and think about neutering – or not… With numerous decisions, dilemmas and obstacles still to overcome, this stage is far from plain sailing. The second film ends with another owner reunion as the dogs achieve physical maturity – though their social maturity might take a while yet. But the real question is are any of the dogs going to be abandoned and sent to rescue centres, or rehomed? Or have they become an essential part of family life?
