This program is not currently available

Pete Wicks travels to Northern Ireland to find out about a scheme the Dogs Trust there run, to try to save as many stray dogs as possible from unnecessary euthanasia in the council pounds. He meets 3 dogs who have been rescued from the council pound but due to the lack of kennel space at the Dog’s Trust centre in Northern Ireland, Pete takes them on a road trip of a lifetime back with him to Essex where they will hopefully find homes for life. But once the Trio get to Essex things are more difficult than they seem as the staff there try to help the three strays with all manner of troubles. Pete also meets a Shar Pei called Twinkle who due to her breeding is suffering from a nasty condition called entropion where her eye lid rolls inwards, and her eyelashes are scraping her eye. The vet team need to assess her to see if they can save her eye with surgery. A new arrival causes a shock as she was found wandering the street very emaciated. Little Russo is just skin and bones and need round the clock care to help bring her back from the brink.
