Comedian and cat lover Jo Brand meets the RSPCA officers, vets and volunteers that rescue and protect the nations much loved moggies. She rolls up her sleeves at one of the country’s busiest animal hospitals to help the team save the life of a young kitten whose curiosity has nearly ended in tragedy. Having fallen 4 floors from a balcony, the outlook for Kitten Saba does not look good and it’s up to Jo and the vets to save the day. We’re also out on the road with Animal Welfare Officer Matt Brown, on the most difficult and most unusual callout of his career. He’s forced to resort to extreme measures when poor little Tabby Lola gets herself stuck in one of the most precarious spots in the house, up the chimney. Having had no food or water for 4 days, it’s a battle against the clock to save her, will Matt be able to reach her before it’s too late? And a butcher’s shop is no place for new born kittens who can’t see or hear yet. Unfortunately, for one protective mum cat and her new litter of four cute kittens, this is their reality. Inspector Callum Isitt must get them out of what could be a perilous situation, but it’s not going to be as easy as he’d hoped. Finally, they say a dog is a man’s best friend but in this story, we see how a water-loving Maine Coon cat named Thula, has transformed a young Autistic girl and her family’s life for good.
