E01 | Kitten Rescuers | Episode 1

Comedian and cat lover Jo Brand, is back for another cat-packed series, full of the best and most remarkable rescues of the nations much loved moggies. In our first episode, we witness our one of our largest and most dramatic rescues yet. Over 20 firefighters, race against the clock to save the life of little kitten Ezri, who has been stuck down a storm drain for over 10 hours, after falling into a river. In Liverpool, Inspector Paul Heaton gets an emergency call about a cat tied to a fence with a chain. However upon arrival, he realises the job is one of the most bizarre he’s ever had to attend. And we meet Tiger, the 9 month old kitten, who was found pregnant after being rescued from a multi cat household, where many of the cats were un-neutered, and interbreeding. As well as following some heart stopping rescues, we’ll also see Jo Brand pull on her nurses apron as she visits RSPCA Harmsworth, one of the busiest animal hospitals in London. In this episode she meets Marta, the cat who miraculously survives falling more than four floors from a balcony. And Jo plays Mum to 3 tiny furry felines who need an extra helping hand.
