E02 | Kitten Rescuers | Episode 2

Comedian and cat lover Jo Brand meets the RSPCA officers, vets and volunteers that rescue and protect the nations much loved moggies. This week, Animal Welfare Officer Matt Brown gets called to a children’s outdoor play area, things don’t seem too bad for the potentially wounded moggie. However, upon closer inspection it appears there might be more to the injury than meets the eye. A call from a concerned member of the public, that a pregnant cat has taken up residence in her shed has Inspector Anthony Joynes rushing to the rescue. With kittens potentially due at any moment, Anthony’s keen to get this tubby tabby to the vets without delay, but a closer inspection reveals unexpected results. Jo Meets 9-year-old Maisie, a cat suffering from a returning Urinary Tract Infection. When her urine samples come back as clear, it’s down to Vet Imogen Moore’s detective work, to get to the bottom of what’s going on. And finally, Jo goes back to Harmsworth Hospital to meet one sorry moggie Bruce who’s diet was so bad he needed to have all but 4 of his teeth removed. She and Vet Sam Fevy meet the loveable tomcat, to see how they can look after those last remaining gnashers.
