However, upon arrival, it’s clear that the situation is worse than previously expected. There’s not just one kitten with severe cat flu but four. With all the kittens in the final stages of the virus, it’s a race against the clock to get them to the vets if they have any chance of survival. Next Jo meets two black rescue cats, Norman and Phantom, that have bagged themselves a potential new owner. The cats have never come face to face before so Jo is acting match maker and the stakes are high. If they don’t get on then their hopes of living together in a new forever home will be dashed. Back in South Yorkshire, Inspector Keira Benham is following up on a call about a heavily pregnant puss that has been living on a waste site. Contained in a large dog cage by one of the site workers, Keira can see the poor mum is clearly stressed and in a lot of discomfort due to an injury on her paw. With no idea when the feral cat will give birth, there is no time to waste if Keira wants to get this cat to safety before her young arrive. When poor Scatty the cat is found alone and trapped in a house that her owners have now moved out of, it’s up to Inspector Paul Heaton to get to the bottom of how she became to be all alone. Can he track down the owners to get her signed over, allowing her a chance of a new, happier life? And lastly, Jo heads over to Southall Cattery to meet four fluffy, blue-eyed, white kittens. They’re booked in for a hearing test as they may all be completely deaf. It’s up to Jo to find out.
